This page explains what information 3ambytes ("we", "us", "our") collects through https://3ambytes.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately short and specific to what this website actually does — no boilerplate about things we don't collect.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical data gathered automatically:
- Contact form. When you submit the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject and message you provide, so we can respond to you.
- Technical data. When you submit the contact form, we also record your IP address and browser user-agent string alongside it. This is standard practice for spam and abuse prevention, and is not used to track your browsing beyond that submission.
- Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage only. It is never sent to our servers and stays on your device.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not track you across other sites.
How we use your information
- To respond to messages sent through the contact form.
- To send you a confirmation email acknowledging your submission.
- To detect and prevent spam or abusive submissions.
We do not use your information for marketing emails you haven't asked for, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Third-party services
A couple of services outside our own servers are involved in running this site:
- Google Fonts. This site loads web fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com), which may log standard request data such as your IP address, governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Email delivery. Contact form notifications and confirmations are sent through our email service provider, solely to deliver those messages.
Data retention
We keep contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and keep a record of the correspondence, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing contact@3ambytes.com. We'll respond as soon as we reasonably can. Where applicable data protection law (such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) grants you additional rights, we honour those too.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
